the system is actively controlled, so restriction should not yield any difference in pressure, unless you are pushing the absolute bleeding edge of the pump anyway. the fuel pressure regulator will make sure that the set pressure is maintained regardless of the restriction of the plumbing so long as the pump doesnt run out of flow. even in terms of restriction, more flow = less restriction. Which would flow better a single exhaust or dual sidepipes? 2 twice the plumbing for half the length = much much less restriction.
